Packing list for your summer vacation
The long-awaited vacation is finally on the horizon. Soon you’ll be lying in the sun on the beach, by the pool at a wellness hotel or exploring a metropolis on a city break. But before we can really relax, there’s still a lot to organize. And organization means planning ahead what you need and have to take with you for your time of relaxation. To make packing your suitcase easier and avoid the odd frustration, we’ll show you how to pack a suitcase properly.
Insider tip: Packing list
Before you start filling your suitcase without any structure, take your time and create a packing list for your summer vacation (at the end of the article you will find a packing list to help you) – this will give you a good overview. This becomes even better if you divide the list into different areas such as clothing, hygiene, jewelry, technology, etc.
Another tip is to only prepare the items on the list for the time being and not to pack them straight away. This way you can check everything better afterwards and reduce it if necessary. Because, honestly, who has ever used everything that came in their suitcase on vacation?
Packing suitcases to save space
Heavy objects should be packed on the floor in suitcases. The large items of clothing such as thick jackets or jeans are then placed on top. The remaining items of clothing now follow. If you want to save some space, put on the heavy and thick clothes for the journey. You can fill cavities and small free corners with socks, underwear, towels, etc. This also means that the other items slip around less and don’t crease so quickly. Shoes can also be filled with socks.
To prevent creams and shampoos from leaking and ruining the rest of your belongings, it is best to put these items in a bag designed for this purpose.
Any small items such as jewelry can also be packed in extra boxes or bags so that nothing gets lost.
Play it safe
Don’t forget to attach your contact details to the case so that you can get it back more easily if it gets lost. In addition, the suitcase should always be securely closed. Once you have finished packing, make sure that the suitcase does not weigh more than the permitted weight to avoid additional charges.
We hope that our packing tips were helpful and now there is only one thing left to wish you: Have a good trip and a wonderful vacation!
