Johanna Bruckm\u00fcller-Knopf from “Bruckm\u00fcller Wohnen” in Wels and Martin Wetscher from “Wetscher Wohngalerien” in F\u00fcgen in Zillertal explain what these trends will be in the coming year. <\/em><\/p>\n\n

Living trend 1: More color<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n

Life is becoming more colorful again. Because in the coming year, both red and blue tones are in vogue – in all shades and from dark to pastel. According to Martin Wetscher, the color sage green is also still en vogue. The particularly bold are opting for color blocking: “This involves staying within a color family and opting for soft colors,” explains Johanna Bruckm\u00fcller-Knopf. If you don’t want it to be quite so eye-catching, neutral tones are recommended. “Beige and earth tones always work,” says Bruckm\u00fcller-Knopf. <\/p>\n\n

Living trend 2: Get to the walls<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n

The white wall has had its day. As in previous years, the trend towards color applies not only to furniture, lamps and accessories, but also to walls: they can also be adorned with colors, but also wallpaper. Textile wallpapers with texture or embroidered with beads and 3D wallpapers are particularly “in”. “All surfaces are actually tactile,” says Wetscher. Wall coverings made of leather or fabric will also be a popular design element on walls in the coming year. <\/p>\n\n

Living trend 3: Rich in curves<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n

Angular and angular shapes will be a thing of the past in 2025. Sofas and the like will score points with organic shapes, while rounded elements will take the edge off furnishings and rooms. “Together with the fabrics, they contrast with the angular rest,” says Wetscher. <\/p>\n\n

Living trend 4: Flexibility and functionality<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n

Flexibility is another trend that is here to stay. Sofas and sofa groups are as flexible as possible in order to best meet the needs of the occupants. Not only can different compositions be created, but the pieces can also be extended or reduced in size as required. In future, they will also impress with their functionality: small tables or lamps are increasingly being integrated into the traditional elements. In this context, it goes without saying that sofa covers are increasingly removable. Which already leads to the next trend… <\/p>\n\n

Living trend 5: High-quality and sustainable<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n

High-quality, classy, durable – these are the characteristics that materials are all about. “This fits in with the fact that classic elegance is experiencing a revival,” says Wetscher. Longevity and sustainability also play a major role. This includes removable covers, for example, which not only make cleaning easier, but also offer scope for visual renewal – without having to replace the entire sofa. “Recycling is also a huge topic,” says Bruckm\u00fcller-Knopf. The same applies to natural materials, from real stone to brass and wood, which bring calm and balance to the four walls and thus represent an antipole to hectic everyday life. <\/p>\n\n

Living trend 6: Chrome<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n

On the one hand, reflective or mirrored surfaces make rooms look larger, while on the other, they captivate with their light and shadow effects. This is why chrome is increasingly being used as a material for lamps and furniture legs – but it is also finding its way into kitchens. “The combination with warm colors ensures that the coolness of the material is broken,” explains Bruckm\u00fcller-Knopf. <\/p>\n\n

Living trend 7: Back to comfort and individuality<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n

The cool style will lose some of its significance in 2025, with comfort and coziness back in demand, the two interior design professionals agree. The same applies to individuality: “The most beautiful home is the one that reflects the occupant(s). The most important trend for me is therefore that the home suits them – because then they feel comfortable,” Wetscher is convinced. <\/p>\n
