Carpet Guide: What you should look out for when buying<\/strong><\/p>\n\n

For a long time they were not in fashion, but now they are experiencing their big revival: carpets. After all, they not only add elegance to a home, but also comfort and warmth. They are also a welcome decorative element – provided they are used correctly. You can find out how this works and how to care for them here.<\/p>\n\n

How big should the carpet be?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n

It is no different to other furnishings – carefully chosen, it can enhance a home. Used incorrectly, they have exactly the opposite effect. That’s why you should think carefully beforehand about whether a round or square rug will fit in the room, how big it needs to be and where exactly it will be placed. Because: if it is too small, it can make the room look disproportionate; if it is too large, it will overwhelm the room.<\/p>\n\n

What color should the carpet be?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n

In addition to the right proportions, the decision regarding color is also an important one. Light-colored carpets make the room appear larger, while darker ones create a cozy atmosphere. If you opt for a multicolored one, make sure that you don’t end up with color chaos – then the other furnishings such as the couch and co. should be monochromatic.<\/p>\n\n

The right care<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n

A carpet also requires the right manners. Regular vacuuming keeps it clean and prevents dirt particles from becoming embedded in the wool fibers. If major “accidents” happen, for example red wine or coffee is spilled, quick action is required (treatment with salt, for example) so that the liquid is not completely absorbed. It is generally recommended to have them cleaned by professionals once a year. <\/p>\n\n
