The development of SpinSave technology is based on a fundamental insight: many households do not use the ECO function on their washing machines. According to a study by Marketagent, 39% of households do not use it because of the longer washing time, while 20% see no actual savings and 18% see no benefit. For ELEKTRA BREGENZ, it was therefore clear that an energy-saving washing option must be integrated into all programs – without any additional time expenditure.
Save energy with SpinSave
The technical highlight of SpinSave technology is the higher drum speed. This generates more heat during the wash cycle, which dissolves the detergent more quickly and removes stains more efficiently. As a result, up to 35% less energy is required compared to conventional appliances, without extending the washing time. For users, this means that every program automatically uses the energy-saving variant – without any additional settings.
The practical test: SpinSave washing machine in use for 7 weeks
As part of our practical test, the new SpinSave WAFX91440T washing machine was tested at least three times a week over a period of seven weeks. Our tester – mother of two active boys, dog owner of two large dogs and wife with a corresponding amount of laundry – put the machine through its paces.

The result: The time saved, energy-efficient washing even without the ECO program, was a real benefit for our tester. She was particularly impressed by the intensive heat development during the entire wash cycle. This ensures that the laundry comes out of the machine almost dry, which saves additional drying time.
Steam function and additional features
Another highlight of the SpinSave washing machine is the switchable steam function. Our tester particularly praised the more intensive neutralization of odours and the deeper cleaning of heavier soiling, as is often the case with grass marks on soccer socks. The steam function also offers a practical ironing effect: many items of clothing no longer need to be ironed or only need to be ironed lightly.
For design-savvy users, the new ELEKTRA BREGENZ line also offers a timeless elegance that blends into any modern living environment.
Criticism: Diminishing washing power with short programs
A small downer in the test: The cleaning performance of the SpinSave technology was noticeably reduced during the particularly fast wash cycles. This point may pose a challenge for washing cycles in a hurry, but is hardly significant in the overall picture.
Conclusion: Strong price-performance ratio
The final verdict of our tester is consistently positive. In particular, the combination of energy savings, time savings and excellent cleaning performance make the SpinSave washing machine a valuable helper in the household. The price-performance ratio is also rated as “very good”.
ELEKTRA BREGENZ seems to have created real added value for everyday life with SpinSave technology – and not just for environmentally conscious households.
