Steep, winding and narrow – such is the road that leads from Cefalù to Vallegrande Nature Resort by Geocharme Cefalù, seven kilometers away. But the journey is worth the effort: located in the middle of the Parco delle Madonie Nature Park, shaded by centuries-old trees, the resort promises peace and relaxation. The modern and functionally furnished air-conditioned rooms and suites are divided among several houses, loosely distributed on the large property. One of the highlights of the complex is definitely the large pool, from which a dreamlike view of the Tyrrhenian Sea and the Aeolian Islands opens up. If culture and/or shopping are on the agenda, we recommend a trip to the coastal town of Cefalù, which boasts a picturesque old town with, among other things, a Norman cathedral Santissimo Salvatore. Furthermore, the nearby sanctuary Santuario di Gibilmanna, mountain villages such as Gratteri, Isnello or Petralia Soprana e Sottana or even Palermo invite you to visit.

Incidentally, the Bar & Lounge is quite a feast for the eyes: the linear architecture combines masculine style with 16,000 oak planks to create a curved seating landscape.
The absolute highlight of the FREIRAUM, which won the German Design Award 2018 as well as the If Design Award 2017 in the Interior Architecture category and the A’Design Award in Silver in the Interior Space Exhibition category, is the 4.5-meter-high and 40-meter-long bar with its 3,500-kilogram canopy, which took 5,000 man-hours to build.
