The second Sunday in May is Mother’s Day. We have breakfast ideas, recipes, gift and decoration tips for you – to make this day an unforgettable event for our mothers.
When we were little, they looked under our beds for monsters, read our favorite book to us countless times in a row and spent hours looking for our favorite cuddly toy that we somehow put down and forgot about. Later, they never tire of listening to our grief again and again and tell us that heartbreak is not the end of the world. Until we believe it. They encourage us and are our biggest fans. They motivate us to go our own way – and when things aren’t going so well, they are there.
What moms do every day is of unspeakable value for their children, their family and for our society. This should be celebrated, appreciated, honored – every day, in fact. And a little more on Mother’s Day. This day is a good opportunity to say thank you. We have input and ideas that can be implemented several times a year.
Breakfast recipes for Mother’s Day: from sweet to savory
Fried egg muffins and pancakes with frozen chocolate fruit pralines – these two dishes with a wow effect will really spice up your Mother’s Day breakfast. And above all, they are quick and easy to prepare.
For the fried egg muffins, you need toast, a little soft butter, eggs and chives. While the oven is preheating to 200 degrees (top and bottom heat), grease the muffin tray with butter. Roll out the slices of toast thinly with a rolling pin and then press them into the cavities of the muffin tray. Crack an egg into each and bake for about 15 minutes. Sprinkle with chives and serve.
Ice praline pancakes are just as easy to prepare: mix 250 g flour, 500 ml milk, 2 eggs, a pinch of salt and a dash of mineral water to make a batter and leave to stand for about ten minutes. Fry the pancakes in a non-stick pan until golden brown. Cover the still warm pancakes with slightly defrosted ice cream pralines, for example from Schofrulade, and roll them up.
Other must-haves for the perfect Mother’s Day breakfast are:

And another tip for all those who like a nostalgic feel: Filter coffee for a Mother’s Day feeling like back then. Carl Henkel has a beautiful pot with a teapot that ensures that the coffee stays warm. It also looks great, which brings us to the next point!
Table decorations: visual accents and lovely details
Colorful flowers such as ranunculus, tulips, roses and lilacs arranged in a vase, beautiful porcelain tableware with timeless floral prints, softly scented candles, colorful flowers draped on an etagere – and you’re ahead in the race for the most beautiful Mother’s Day table. Details such as handwritten cards, small picture frames with photos and a playlist with mom’s favorite songs make the whole thing even more individual. But please don’t overdo it, we still need space. For the …
